woodHenge Foundation

# 000939081 EIN 92-1860772

MISSION:  The woodHenge Foundation seeks to protect select natural features and human structures of Tennessee as historic sites, and to enhance awareness and appreciation of their significance to Tennessee history, indigenous peoples, ecology and metaphysics; and to support education, construction, land use and repurposing of materials consistent with these considerations.

History: the Foundation was established Jan 3, 2018 as part of the need to protect the “Good Spring” donated by the Town of Dandridge to the founding couple, partially deeded upon their plans to provide such protection.  The Wildlife Sanctuary was unofficially created in 2014 by restrictive rental agreements and Use Agreements for anyone on the properties.

Objectives:

1) to raise monetary and physical support for the protection, maintenance, renovation, enhancement and publicity of the site called City Spring in Dandridge,TN; and any additional properties, structures and activities consistent with this Mission, to include a wildlife sanctuary and Event Haven.

2) to create and publish stories, articles, music and advisory services in support of such fund raising and public awareness efforts.

3) to explore ways in which local history and historic sites, their significance and inspiration, can be used to enhance individual goals of ecology, animal husbandry, spiritual development, life simplification, education; or to repurpose their condition or legal status to those objectives.

4) to support public awareness and appreciation of the town of Dandridge, its history, citizenship and vitality of its citizens as inspiration for the Tennessee Valley: function, simplicity, resilience and respect.

5) to explore ways to provide for the Foundation in perpetuity though the solicitation of grants, endowments, donations and volunteer services; plus business activities for profit or visibility.

6) to actively participate in public meetings and legal proceedings as may impact the Mission or Objectives of the Foundation, and to provide advisory services to individuals and organizations consistent with Mission objectives.
